Understanding Football Statistics for Super Sub Betting

When betting on player props with Super Sub protection, understanding football statistics is crucial. Terms like Shots on Target (SoT), Expected Goals (xG), and Goal Assists help you make informed decisions about which players to bet on.

Many bookmakers use Opta statistics to settle their betting markets. Opta is a leading sports data provider that supplies detailed statistics and analytics for football matches. Understanding how Opta defines statistics like shots on target, tackles, and fouls can help you better understand how your Super Sub bets will be settled.

For example, a Shot on Target (SoT) is defined as a deliberate attempt to score that is on target, including all goals scored and shots saved by the goalkeeper. This is important for Super Sub betting because if you bet on a player to have 2+ shots on target, and they get substituted after having 1 shot on target, Super Sub ensures your bet continues with the substitute player.
