Manchester United defender Patrick Dorgu produced the standout moment of the first half when he fired a stunning left-footed effort into the top corner after 13 minutes. The goal rewarded Denmark's bright start and immediately put Ukraine under pressure.

Denmark dominate but Ukraine fight back

Denmark created the better opportunities throughout the opening 45 minutes. Joakim Mæhle doubled the advantage on 36 minutes, but Viktor Tsygankov's strike shortly before the interval gives Ukraine hope going into the second half.
