Sub Switch is Betfred's name for Super Sub. If your player is substituted at any point in the match, your selection switches to the player who comes on. It works on player markets marked with the Sub Switch icon.

How it works

  1. Look for the Sub Switch icon, or (Sub Switch) after the market name. Only those markets are covered.
  2. If your player is substituted, your selection switches to the player who replaces him.
  3. Your player's stats and his replacement's are added together: if your player had one shot on target before going off, the replacement only needs one more for a 2+ bet.
  4. When Betfred launched Sub Switch for the 2026 World Cup it applied to single bets and pre-match Bet Builders on qualifying player selections. In-play bets did not qualify.
  5. Bets are settled with official Opta data.

  • Void bets.
  • World Cup terms: in-play bets didn't qualify. Sub Switch applied in extra time, but a bet with a non-Sub Switch selection that had already lost in the 90 minutes didn't continue into extra time.
